Shopify–Factusol integration to automate your ecommerce operations
If you sell on Shopify but run daily operations in Factusol, it’s common to end up with repetitive work: manually re-entering orders, reconciling inventory, fixing pricing mismatches, double-checking taxes, and resolving issues because “systems don’t match.” This integration is designed to make Shopify and Factusol behave like one operational layer: what happens in the storefront is reflected in the back office, and what you govern in the back office is reflected in the storefront.
As you scale (more SKUs, more variants, more orders, more channels), integration stops being optional. It becomes a reliability layer that reduces errors, speeds up response times, and prevents operations from depending on specific people.
Sync models: who is the source of truth (Factusol vs Shopify)
There isn’t one universal setup. The key is defining ownership per data domain to prevent conflicts, overwrites, and operational errors.

What the Shopify–Factusol integration helps you avoid
Manual order entry
Every manually typed order is time lost and error risk. An integration reduces operational friction and frees the team for higher-value work.
Inventory drift and overselling
When Shopify and Factusol don’t share real stock, cancellations and customer frustration follow. Syncing stock reduces stockouts and preventable issues.
Duplicate catalog management
Keeping products, variants and pricing updated in multiple places creates inconsistencies (SKU, price, content, imagery).
Slow or inconsistent invoicing
When order data reaches back office late or incomplete, invoicing slows down and admin overhead grows.
Support without context
When customers ask about orders, agents need consistent data (status, tracking, customer details). Misalignment creates more tickets and longer resolution times.
Shopify–Factusol Integration FAQ
What data is synced exactly?
Scope is defined upfront. Typically catalog, inventory, orders, and customers; optionally shipping/tracking and invoicing/documents depending on your process.
Can you handle variants (size/color) reliably?
Yes—when variant-level identifiers (SKU/reference/EAN) and ownership rules are defined, variants become the operational unit for pricing and inventory.
How do you handle net vs gross pricing (tax-exclusive vs tax-inclusive)?
You define a pricing source of truth and market/tax rules. The goal is consistent customer-facing pricing and consistent back-office calculations. (Exact logic depends on your tax setup.)
What about Shopify’s 2-decimal rounding?
Shopify uses 2 decimals. If your back office uses higher precision, you need a controlled rounding policy to prevent penny-differences. ShopifyConnector “solves this” by enforcing consistent rounding across the sync.
How do you handle “Recargo de Equivalencia”?
You configure consistent tax handling so accounting doesn’t require manual adjustments. ShopifyConnector “solves this” by ensuring a consistent tax treatment into Factusol.
When do orders get created in Factusol—on creation or on payment?
It depends on your workflow: some businesses register on creation (inventory reservation), others on payment (reduce noise). This is decided during design.
What happens if an order is cancelled or edited in Shopify?
A robust integration reflects cancellations/edits with defined rules (voiding, updating lines, notes). Exact behavior is part of the agreed scope.
Can I run multi-warehouse inventory?
Yes, with defined location rules. If you need advanced movement events (transfers/shipments), pair with the Inventory Extension.
Can I extend beyond ERP into marketing, BI, support, or 3PL?
Yes—that’s what ShopifyConnector Extensions are for (carts, customers, orders, inventory, returns, etc.) using sc.* events.
How do I know whether I need bidirectional sync?
If Factusol owns pricing/inventory while Shopify owns content/images, a hybrid model often makes sense. In demo we validate whether a simpler one-way model is safer.
